Hailing from Mumbai, Michelle has completed her Master of Science in Counselling and Psychotherapy with major focus in Client-Centered Therapy. She is a hard-working person who constantly works towards accomplishing her goals. According to her, we must be innovative and always strive to upgrade our knowledge and skills through continuous learning to survive and perform well in today’s competitive environment. Along with her Masters of Science in Counselling and Psychotherapy, UK; she holds a Certification in Global Career Counselling (GCC) from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Green Belt Certification from Univariety.
Michelle believes that being non-judgmental and accepting people for the way they are or who they are, is extremely crucial. She excels at making people feel comfortable and heard without a shred of bias.
At Michelle Mikaelson’s Counselling Centre, we strive to create awareness amongst people. Our aim is to make counselling easily available, helping people and supporting them, enhancing their abilities so that they can deal with any curve ball life throws at them. We love to wipe out any taboos or preconceived notions that have risen due to lack of knowledge about counselling.
We work with clients of all age groups, dealing with various situations. Youngsters dealing with dilemmas related to career choices, peer and family pressure, exam anxiety issues and so on. Adults facing situations that need support, decluttering of the mind in order to get answers, we have thought about absolutely everything that can have an impact on one’s career.
Counselling is a helping profession; many know it as “talking therapy”. It’s a process by which one can assist people deal with difficult situations they have or are facing, make specific decisions or choices. At times, it is difficult to talk to anyone without the fear of being judged. Many people realize the options they have and can choose from, explore, recognize and understand various emotions they feel at times without realizing that they are there. Michelle loves helping people navigate through these tricky stages in life. Seeing them achieve, which at first, they thought was an impossible task brings her immense satisfaction.
